Denisa Genes is a doctoral researcher in the Self-regulation in Health and Well-being Lab in the Department of Psychology at the University of Sheffield. Her research interests focus on weight loss maintenance, specifically identifying strategies and individual characteristics that promote successful long term weight management. She works on developing and validating a scale to measure knowledge and beliefs about weight loss maintenance related factors.
She is also a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Psychology. Teaching responsibilities include conducting workshops and tutorials for first and second year research methods modules.
Denisa has a MSc in Psychotherapy and Clinical Psychology from “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi, Romania.
